Panel Settings Tab

The Panel Settings tab displays a description of an assigned TouchLink™ touchpanel as well as the communication and date and time settings for the panel.  On this tab, you can add a touchpanel and update the associated settings.

The IP Address field is populated during the Add Device process.  If the IP address of the device changes, the new IP address must be entered here so that Global Configurator can communicate with the device via its new IP address.

If the device has been assigned passwords, those passwords must also be entered on this screen so that GC can connect to the device.  A device must have an administrator password if it has a user password.

Note:  The IP Address, Admin Password, and User Password fields must match the current communications settings of the device in order for GC to connect to it..

The Enable Virtual TouchLink check box allows the user  to enable a touchpanel emulation on a wifi capable device such as an iPad. After configuration the emulation device can be used to control an AV device wirelessly.

Note:  This option may require you to update the controller firmware version. This can be downloaded from www.extron.com.

The Synchronize TouchLink Panel visual state when reconnected check box allows the user to enable a TouchPanel to be synchronized  with the system when reconnected. For example, if a controller  becomes disconnected for a period, and is then reconnected, any  panels connected to that controller are updated with   any changes that may have occurred to other panels within the system during the disconnection period.

The Refresh button refreshes the entire screen with information populated by the device.

The Add Touch Panel button opens a separate dialog box, allowing the user to add a new touch panel.
