Extron Introduces New DVI Distribution Amplifier

Anaheim, California (June 19, 2007) - Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce the DVI DA2, Two Output DVI Distribution Amplifier. The DVI DA2 is a one input, two output DVI distribution amplifier that allows one single-link DVI signal to be distributed to two locations at the same time. The DVI DA2 is housed in a 1U, half rack width metal enclosure, and is ideal for use in presentation environments such as classrooms, small auditoriums, lecture halls, or wherever reliable digital signal distribution is needed.

"In addition to actively splitting and distributing DVI signals, the DVI DA2 offers greater flexibility by effectively extending the 15 foot DVI signal barrier," says Lee Dodson, Vice President of Marketing for Extron. "With its input equalization, the DVI DA2 automatically conditions the incoming signals, and allows for longer cable runs of up to 50 feet on both outputs."

The DVI DA2 supports DVI-D signals up to 1920x1200, including HDTV 1080p. Additionally, the DVI DA2 provides DDC routing to the local output, allowing EDID handshaking, which ensures proper video output and reliable display of material. Its compact, durable design allows multiple mounting options, and easy integration into a variety of environments.
