Dynamic Images -
A Smarter Control Experience
Visual Confirmation for AV Source Selection and UI Updates
The Dynamic Images feature provides a convenient low-frame-rate preview of video sources and updates to interface graphics directly on TouchLink Pro 35 Series touchpanels, as well as Extron Control for Web and the Extron Control Pro App. Dynamic Images takes visual feedback a step further by capturing images directly from supported Extron devices and displaying them on the control interface, providing real-time source confirmation or confidence preview without the need for additional hardware.
See Active Sources Without Additional Hardware
In AV systems with multiple selectable video sources, dynamic images help users confirm the correct source before switching. This removes the guesswork from source selection and provides fast visual confirmation without routing live video directly to the destination. The ability to monitor NAV decoders provides an additional diagnostic tool by displaying the actual output of the decoder. This feature does not require dedicated preview hardware, making it a cost-effective solution.
Built for NAV and Quantum Ultra II System Environments
Dynamic Images are primarily designed for NAV® and Quantum® Ultra II systems. Confidence preview images are generated by the Extron endpoint device and securely delivered to the control interface without any other hardware in between. This direct image transfer results in a fast and reliable experience optimized for professional AV control environments. The feature is intended to provide confidence preview images for source selection and verification, not high-frame-rate video monitoring.
Note: Confidence Preview Support for Quantum Ultra II Systems coming soon.
Dynamic Image Updates from File Server Locations
The feature can also be used to dynamically change images displayed on the touchpanel. JPG, PNG, and animated GIF images can be retrieved and updated from any HTTP(s) file location, allowing the user interface to display refreshed graphics (i.e., logos / channel icons), status images, or updated visual content without redeploying the GUI file. By separating interface content from the GUI Design file, programmers and administrators can update visual elements quickly and efficiently without disrupting system operation.
Make Source Selection More Intuitive with Dynamic Images
Using Extron control system configuration and programming tools, system designers can incorporate dynamic images onto TLP Pro 35 Series touchpanels, Extron Control for Web, and the Extron Control Pro App to make source selection more intuitive. The result is a cleaner control experience that helps users make confident selections, verify content quickly, and keep interface imagery current as system needs change.
Broad Support Across Extron Control Systems Using Configuration or Programming
Global Configurator Plus and Global Configurator Professional version 3.34.0 add Dynamic Image configuration support, including a new Image Source Settings tab within the Project Properties dialog box and Image Commands within the available touchpanel commands. Additional libraries for image objects and image source objects have also been added to the ControlScript UI Library for programmed systems. These additions provide developers with a streamlined way to incorporate dynamic image functionality into both configured and programmed control system designs. The feature is supported by all IPCP Pro xi control processors and TouchLink Pro 35 Series touchpanels, as well as Extron Control for Web and the Extron Control Pro App.
