Extron Launches New DVI Switchers

Anaheim, California (June 19, 2007) - Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce the SW DVI A Series of two and four input DVI switchers that allow multiple DVI sources to be switched to one compatible display. The SW2 DVI A and the SW4 DVI A, are housed in compact enclosures that can be installed using a variety of integrator friendly mounting options. The SW DVI A Series switchers offers several features that professional integrators will appreciate, as well as the quality and performance they have come to expect from Extron.

The SW DVI A Series supports DVI-D signals up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz, including HDTV 1080p. Both models also feature EDID Minder®, that automatically manages the EDID information between the digital display device connected to the output and all the input sources. By maintaining continuous EDID communication with all sources, EDID Minder® ensures all DVI sources power up properly and maintain their video outputs whether or not they are actively connected to the digital display device through the switcher's output. Front panel LED signal presence indicators provide a quick means of active signal verification.
