Extron Expands System 5 IP Switcher Line

One-Box Solution Now Available in Non-Amplified Versions

Anaheim, California (April 19, 2004) - Extron Electronics announces the addition of two new models to the award-winning System 5 IP family of system switchers. Two new non-amplified models are joining the current amplified models. The new System 5 IP models provide cost-savings solutions for integrators who need many of the switcher's features, but want the option of using it with an external amplifier, a distributed audio system, or where an amplifier may not be required at all. "We built these new versions of the System 5 IP based on feedback from our dealers and consultants," said Lee Dodson, Vice President of Marketing for Extron. "Having the choice of audio amplification and front panel controls provides dealers with added flexibility in meeting the needs of specific applications and environments." The System 5 IP is a five input integrated AV switcher that includes configurable inputs, easy-to-use IR learning, customized display control via RS-232, relays for room control, an internal audio amplifier, and IP Link® technology for Web-based AV resource management and proactive monitoring of smaller scale AV installations, such as classrooms, conference rooms, and boardrooms.
