Extron Introduces the P/2 DA2 WM F

Distribution Amplifier with Audio and Female 15-pin HD Input

Anaheim, California (April 23, 2001) - Extron is pleased to introduce the P/2 DA2 WM F, a new distribution amplifier with a female 15-pin HD input connector. In response to customer feedback, we have replaced the male 15-pin HD input connector on the P/2 DA2 WM distribution amplifier with a female version. It is a one input, two output, high resolution VGA-UXGA distribution amplifier (DA) with audio that provides 300 MHz (-3dB) RGB video bandwidth. This DA drives a high resolution computer-video signal up to 250 feet using high-quality cable, such as Extron's 15-pin HD Cable. The P/2 DA2 WM F is compatible with VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, and UXGA devices, as well as Macs with 15-pin HD output. A presenter can use one PC as an input source for both a local monitor and a presentation display, such as a large-screen monitor, projector, or LCD panel. The P/2 DA2 WM F offers audio interfacing and provides level and peaking controls to maintain signal integrity over long cable runs, and each output is individually buffered. Enclosed in a two-gang box with a wall plate available in grey, black, or white, the P/2 DA2 WM F fits flush into a wall, podium, or table for convenient access by a presenter or meeting facilitator. The P/2 DA2 WM F is available in an EC model compatible with European channel mounting systems. The P/2 DA2 WM F and the P/2 DA2 F EC are available with openings for Extron's optional Architectural Adapter Plates (AAPs). Over 100 AAP configurations offer various audio and video pass-through connectors for additional signal connections. -more- The P/2 DA2 WM F provides a 15-pin HD female connector for the video input and two 15-pin HD female connectors for video outputs. ID bits are routed to the local monitor, or output can be terminated when no local monitor is being used. For audio, the P/2 DA2 WM F offers a 3.5 mm female audio jack for input and a 3.5 mm captive screw connector for user-selectable balanced or unbalanced output. For power, the P/2 DA2 WM F accepts 12-24 AC/DC through a captive screw connector. An optional domestic or international power supply is available.
